Legislative Update for WDHA Members!
The hearing schedules for next week—the final week of policy hearings for bills in their House of Origin—have been released. Notably, HB 1680 has NOT been scheduled for a public hearing at this time.
But don’t celebrate just yet—committee chairs can still add bills to their agenda with just two days’ public notice. The House Healthcare Committee is currently scheduled to hear only two bills next week, followed by a schedule packed with executive sessions where they will be voting on other bills. We’re keeping a close eye on the developments. Stay tuned for updates, and be ready to take action if needed!

The Department of Health's position is that beginning January 1, 2024, a licensed Dental Hygienist must complete two hours of health equity CE every four years.
